East Park, a Grant Aided Special School in Glasgow, is a leading provider of specialist day and residential education services for children with complex needs, including Autism.

Position overview

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Residential Support Worker at East Park. The main purpose of the role is to support the Deputy Team Leader/Team Leader by co-ordinating and supervising the Residential Support Worker Team. This role is an excellent opportunity for personal, as well as professional development and growth.

The rate of pay is from £15.87 to £16.69 per hour. 

Specific Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Support new staff during the induction period and provide ‘on the job’ guidance throughout
  • Support volunteers/ students on placement • Facilitate ‘hot’ and ‘cold’ debriefs post-incident
  • Undertake ‘return to work’ meetings with Residential Support Workers ensuring they are completed on the day of return to work
  • Reconcile Accident and Incident logs daily
  • Support the DTL/TL in the planning and delivery of the service, including shift coordination and delegation of key tasks

Due to the shift pattern for this post, you must be over the age of 18, or be turning 18 no later than 2 weeks from when the job advert closes.
